Corporate Traveller UK has promoted Donna Crompton to the position of head of sales and account management.
Her career with the company began in 2008 when she joined as a business development manager, rising to team leader business development in 2010 based in Newcastle.
In 2013, Crompton progressed to senior team leader business development responsible for Corporate Traveller’s 40 regional business development managers in six teams located outside London.
In 2013 she was named Top BDM within Corporate Traveller UK and in the same year her team in Newcastle won Top BDM Team.
In her latest role as senior team leader, her regional teams collectively generated new business worth £55M in the 2014/15 financial year.
Crompton’s background prior to joining Corporate Traveller was in the leisure sector where she spent three years with TUI UK as overseas purchasing manager from 2005 to 2008 and five years with Thomson Holidays as contracting executive from 2000 to 2005.
“Donna’s extensive experience and success in sales at Corporate Traveller means that she truly understands our business model of providing dedicated travel services to companies spending £50k to £2m per annum on business travel and the very specific needs of this type of client,” said Graeme Milne, UK general manager, Corporate Traveller.
“It’s not a case of quick wins. Client relations lie at the core of what we do, in order to retain business and encourage clients to trade with us in the long-term as they are not locked into contracts. Donna recognises the importance of BDMs working closely with client relationship managers as a key driver in the ongoing success of Corporate Traveller.”
