Sharjah looks to tap new global markets

The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) is looking to tap new opportunities for growth in international tourism market.
The authority has charted out a new roadmap for the emirate’s tourism sector represented in the Sharjah Tourism Vision 2021. The tourism authority is aiming to attract 10 million tourists under the Sharjah Tourism Vision 2021 and its four key pillars. The emirate is also upbeat about attracting more visitors from international markets this year.
HE Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, chairman of SCTDA, said: “SCTDA’s participation in international exhibitions and events is focused on strengthening the emirate’s tourism industry in global markets. We also look to promote major development projects adopted by the Authority to enhance tourism experiences.”
WTM offers the gateway to access new markets and provide the tourism sector in the emirate with more opportunities for cooperation and partnership with investors, experts and decision-makers in various global markets.
