Shangri-La has opened reservations for a major new hotel on the Hong Kong waterfront.
The Kerry Hotel Hong Kong will welcome its first guests in April 2017, marking the arrival of fourth hotel in the company’s home city. This will also make Hong Kong only the second city in the world, after Beijing, to house all three of Shangri-La’s brands – Hotel Jen, Shangri-La and Kerry Hotels.
Located on the waterfront of Hung Hom Bay, close to the new Whampoa MTR station, the 16-storey Kerry Hotel is being billed as a “five-star urban resort”.
It will feature a total of 546 rooms and numerous facilities, most notably four restaurants and a bar on an open terrace, an outdoor pool overlooking Victoria Harbour, and a ballroom that can accommodate more than 2,000 people.
The new hotel will become only the third Kerry Hotel in the world, following existing properties in Beijing and Shanghai. It will also join three other Shangri-La properties in Hong Kong: Island Shangri-La, Kowloon Shangri-La and Hotel Jen Hong Kong.
