Vietnam has raised domestic fuel prices by as much as 36%, the Thanh Nien News has reported. The new prices came into force yesterday and caused a panic among residents who were seen queuing outside filling stations on Sunday. The hikes have also raised concern about even higher inflation, further interest rate rises and slower economic growth. Less than two weeks ago, the government ruled out rises in fuel prices for the rest of this year.
