Mauiva has announced the launch of the first ever ‘AirCruise’ holiday – a multi-destination, sight-seeing experience in which guests receive private air travel and pre-arranged guided tours, maximising vacation time and money.
With the unveiling of the two inaugural itineraries this summer – “All-American East Experience” and “Western Wonder Experience” – travellers will be able to visit some of North America’s key destinations, such as Niagara Falls, Washington DC, Sonoma County, Yosemite National Park and the Grand Canyon, saving an estimated 23 to 37 hours of travelling time compared with a road-trip to the same destinations.
“The Mauiva AirCruise is revolutionising the American road-trip,” said Lauren Volcheff, Vice President of Marketing for Tourico Holidays, a Travel Holdings Inc company. “Tourists can finally access some of the world’s most famous sites and still have the time to enjoy their signature qualities. No endless hours on the road. No bad directions. No struggling with luggage or packing-up the car. Millions of travellers tour the US every year, but most are not aware of the significant amount of time they spend getting there, only to rush through the attractions they went on vacation to see.”
On both US coasts, the Mauiva AirCruise package includes escorted group travel, all transportation via a private plane and coaches for destinations within 90 miles of each other, attractions and local tour guides, hotel accommodation, daily breakfast and dinner, as well as gratuities and porterage. In 2012, the concept will be extended to include European attractions and Latin America and Asia in following years.
Mauiva has partnered with international travel wholesaler Tourico Holidays to run the ground services for AirCruise.
