THAI welcomes Pakistani media

Mr. Krittaphon Chantalitanon, Thai Airways International’s Director for Central, South, Southeast Asia & Australasia Commercial Department, recently welcomed a group of the media from Pakistan to THAI’s Head Office. The media trip was jointly organized by THAI, the Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan and co-hosted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
On this occasion, a press briefing was conducted for the media to provide update information on THAI products and services, including the airline’s marketing strategies and future plans for the Pakistan market. According to Mr. Krittaphon Chantalitanon, “Pakistan is a potential market in terms of its size and population. THAI’s operations to Pakistan are sustaining a very satisfactory growth rate. THAI has been operating into Pakistan for more than 30 years, with a coverage of three major cities in Pakistan, including Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, and is considered the widest coverage among Asian carriers serving the Pakistan market.”
Currently, THAI operates a total of 11 flights per week between Bangkok and Pakistan, with four weekly flights to Karachi, four weekly flights to Lahore and three weekly flights to Islamabad, utilizing the Airbus 330-300 aircraft.
