New ski resort opens in China

A new ski resort has opened in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang, Xinhua has reported. The Daming Mountain Alpine Ski Resort sits on a 1,200-metre-high mountain range 116km from the provincial capital, Hangzhou. The resort features a ski run approximately 700 metres long and 60 metres wide, and can accommodate 1,500 people at a time.
