Singapore hotel Royal Plaza on Scotts celebrated Lunar New Year with a difference, inviting three couples of different nationalities (British, the Dutch and the Nigerians) to experience the traditional ‘lo-hei’ session and immerse in Singapore’s Chinese culture. Employees of different nationalities celebrated the event too. General Manager Patrick Fiat, of French descendant, donned an oriental outfit to receive the traditional Luna New Year blessings from the Southern lion in a performance symbolically used to exorcise evil spirits.
