The ACTE Global Education Conference (October 21-23) will be its third “carbon-low” event, presenting attendees with what it called “Socially Responsible Conference Takeaways”.
These include, among others, flash drives to download whitepapers and presentations, 100% recycled lanyards, tote bags made from 25% post-consumer recycled material, and a Solutions Showcase which recognises exhibitors with “green” solutions.
Susan Gurley, ACTE Global Executive Director, said: “ACTE is committed to promoting the economic prosperity of the business travel industry in conjunction with environmental protection; as such, ACTE has extended CSR initiatives to upcoming ACTE Events.”
Since 2006, ACTE has increased CSR initiatives in-house and provided members with resources and educational seminars stressing the importance of green technology solutions and precautionary approaches to reduce environmental impact.
