Aer Lingus Chairman, Colm Barrington, has rejected as “total rubbish” a Ryanair claim that his airline faced bankruptcy within about 18 months, the BBC has reported.
“Talking about Aer Lingus being out of money, being bankrupt in 18 months – total, total rubbish,” Barrington was quoted saying in an interview with Irish state radio, RTE. He added that Aer Lingus had EUR1.2 billion (US$1.6 million) in the bank.
