Air China plans to become global leader

Air China is planning to nearly double its fleet to more than 700 aircraft in the coming years, as it bids to become one of the world’s largest airlines, according to the Beijing-based carrier’s Chairman, Kong Dong. Speaking to the China Daily, Kong said that while Air China is currently a big airline, it is not necessarily strong.
“A strong player is one that foreign carriers will not find easy to knock down in the competition for China’s international flight market,” Kong told the newspaper. “If we cannot guard our share of this market
