Amadeus and Air China have announced a three-year contract extension for Amadeus’ e-Retail solution, which has been used by the airline since 2007 for online sales.
With the Amadeus e-Retail solution, Air China’s customers are able to check fares and flight availability, make bookings and benefit from instant e-ticketing. Travellers are also able to use the Amadeus Flex-Pricer search tool, which instantly returns flight and fare options for a range of dates via a calendar feature.
Jia Tiesheng, Air China’s Director of Sales; “Through Amadeus e-Retail solution we have significantly grown our online sales across key markets around the world. Our continued e-Commerce partnership with Amadeus allows us to further expand our international online sales and reach important, new markets, which is increasingly important to us with our significant global expansion plans.”
Air China also uses the Amadeus e-commerce solution for its small to medium enterprise corporate customers. Corporate customers of Air China in Australia, Singapore, Canada and the United Kingdom use the Amadeus online tool to book their corporate travel on Air China, in line with their corporate purchasing policies.

We are delighted that we have been able to contribute to Air China’s international growth and look forward to continued partnership and taking their success to the next level.”
The Amadeus e-Retail Engine benefits Air China customers in all international markets that the airline operates in. This will include travellers in the Philippines in the coming months.
