Air France-KLM’s routes to and from the Asia Pacific region experienced a 4.3-percentage point drop in load factor in June. The carrier’s traffic was stable, but a 5.2% increase in seat capacity meant that cabin load factors dropped from 88.8% to a still impressive 84.5%. Air France-KLM noted that traffic on routes to and from Japan was 23% lower than the same month last year, although load factors still averaged a strong 81.0%. Year-to-date, the group’s Asian traffic has increased 5.6%, with load factors averaging 82.4% – three percentage points lower than the same period in 2010.
