AITO announces conference line-up

AITO and AITO Specialist Travel Agents have unveiled its speaker line-up for its joint conference later this month. Speakers will include Andrew Cohen and David Clover from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), who will talk about the consequences of the ATOL certificate and Flight Plus as well as Rochelle Turner from Which? Travel to speak about what consumers want from their holidays. Meanwhile Dick Porter, former director of STA Travel will contrast his experiences in the youth market to Anthony Skitt, who is the new managing director of Classic Cottages. Other topics will include social media; selling luxury travel; inspiration for leadership; an economic update and forecast; sustainability and how to reach new audiences. Richard Carrick, former chief of Hoseasons will be holding a session on running a customer-centric business, while Alastair Donnelly from InsideJapan will speak about disaster management and Michael Dupont from The Cruise Portfolio will discuss the growing cruise market and the CCS commission reduction. The conference will take place from 16-19 June in Vilnius, Lithuania. “We’re excited to have so many fantastic speakers on board for our first-ever joint overseas conference, all covering important topics that genuinely matter to our delegates and the travel industry as a whole,” said Oliver Broad, chairman of AITO Agents.
