Andhra Pradesh puts four-fold hike on jet fuel tax

The Indian state of Andhra Pradesh has raised tax on jet fuel from 4% to 16%, the Hindustan Times has reported. The state government said however, that the levy was still less than the 20% practiced in some Indian states. The hike will be implemented from 1 February 2010.
