TMS Chief Executive Officer Gary Marshall said Chan, who steps up from his previous role as General Manager Asia, will handle all aspects of the company’s Asian operations.
Marshall said a key element of Chan’s new role would be to grow the company across the region, building on its Singapore base.
“In addition to Andrew’s management responsibilities, he will play an instrumental role in the design and execution of projects and other activity designed to strengthen the TMS brand in the region, including India.”
His promotion comes at a time when the company is experiencing rapid growth regionally. Building on its China presence in Shanghai, TMS opened a Hong Kong office in August and looks to opening one in Beijing early next year. A Bangkok operation is also set to start by year-end.
TMS has this year expanded into the Middle East and New Zealand and last July strengthened its UK stance following the signing of a second major partnership agreement with London-based recruitment specialist Collins King & Associates.
