Asiana Airlines will fly its brand new Airbus A380 aircraft to a number of cities in the Asia Pacific this summer.

The South Korean carrier will receive the first two A380s from June 2014, and plans to deploy the double-decker aircraft on the Seoul-Los Angeles and Seoul-Hong Kong routes from 15 August onwards. But prior to this, Asiana will allow Asian passengers to experience its newest aircraft, as it previews the A380 on a series of regional routes.

Initially, from 13 June to 23 July 2014, the airline’s first A380 will operate daily flights from Seoul Incheon to Tokyo Narita Airport, and six weekly flights between Incheon and Hong Kong.

Then from 24 July to 14 August, the arrival of a second A380 will enable the Korean airline to boost the Hong Kong route to daily, while also offering daily A380 flights to Narita and Osaka, and five weekly flights to Bangkok.

The two new aircraft will then settle into their regular scheduled operations from 15 August 2014, offering daily flights to LAX and five weekly services to Hong Kong. The Incheon-HKIA service will be operated every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

Asiana’s A380 will com equipped with 495 seats – 12 in first class, 66 in business class and 417 in economy.
