Three international hotel operators have visited Belize following an expansion of tourism in the area. Development Directors from Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Wyndham Hotel Group and Parkland Belize went on the Belize Tourism Investment Tour last month in an effort to introduce the country’s tourism product to future developers. Belize’s CEO of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Culture Michael Singh said the country was focusing on the luxury market. “We are approaching a new era of strategic planning for a sustainable industry in Belize with the upcoming release of our National Tourism Master Plan, and we look forward to welcoming the introduction and establishment of select brands in the nature-based luxury segment,” he revealed. Belize’s Ministry of Tourism, BELTRAIDE and tourism board plan to host the investment tours every quarter.
