Best Western has continued its rapid expansion in Indonesia with the launch of a new hotel in Jakarta – Best Western Hariston.
Located in North Jakarta, the newly-built midscale hotel offers 201 rooms, all with 37-inch flat-screen TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi. The hotel also features a restaurant, bar, 24-hour room service, outdoor swimming pool and sauna. For the corporate and events market, the there are 11 meeting rooms.
“North Jakarta has always been a centre of industry and commerce, and the area is now undergoing a renaissance, with a series of new cultural heritage attractions and retail offerings drawing an increasing number of visitors,” said Glenn de Souza, Best Western’s vice president of international operations for Asia & the Middle East.
“Best Western Hariston will cater to the rising number of business and leisure travellers visiting this fascinating area, with a range of modern amenities and our signature service standards that are enjoyed by guests at Best Western hotels all over the world.
“I am delighted to be able to welcome yet another hotel to our fast-expanding Indonesian portfolio, as we strive to meet the soaring demand for comfortable, convenient accommodation across this exciting country,” he added.
Best Western Hariston becomes the company’s third hotel in Jakarta, following the 168-room Best Western Mangga Dua Hotel & Residence and 67-room Best Western Mega Kuningan, which welcomed its first guests last month.
This brings the company’s nationwide portfolio to 10 hotels in five destinations – Jakarta, Bali, Semarang, Serpong and Malang. But Best Western plans to expand this to more than 30 properties in the coming years, including debut hotels in cities such as Bandung, Pontianak, Makassar, Banjarmasin, Samarinda and Palu.
