The announcement came on the heels of a three-day conference, during which the UN/WTO praised the country’s “Truly Asia” tag.
The country’s Ministry of Agriculture said authorities would “identify and take quick measures” to prevent the outbreak from spreading.
“The virus has not spread to humans,” said Health Minister Chua Soi Lek. “We were able to contain the outbreak from infecting people.”
“It is an isolated case and the public should not worry” said Ministry Secretary-General Dr Zulkifli Idris.
