Bombardier Aerospace has delivered the first Challenger 300 jet to be operated from China to Donghai Jet Co, Ltd. based in Shenzhen. The aircraft is the first of five Challenger 300 jets ordered by Donghai Jet on 13 November 2010.
The aircraft was handed over today during a special ceremony with Donghai Jet and Bombardier executives at Asian Aerospace International Expo and Congress 2011 in Hong Kong. The Challenger 300 business jet joins a Challenger 605 aircraft, already in operation in Donghai Jet’s fleet.
“This is a very important milestone for Bombardier’s growing China-based fleet,” said David Dixon, Bombardier Business Aircraft’s Regional Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific. “The Challenger 300 jet will offer Donghai Jet’s customers the perfect combination of performance and comfort for their increasing travel requirements throughout China. We look forward to a long relationship with Donghai Jet as they further develop their business jet charter operations in China,” he added.
Donghai Jet was jointly established by Shenzhen Donggang Investment Development Ltd, East Pacific Holdings Ltd and Win Glory Enterprises Ltd. In addition to air charter services, it provides trading consultation, management and maintenance services for business jets.
Bombardier Business Aircraft operates sales offices in Beijing and in Hong Kong and has three Authorised Service Facilities in the region. In addition, a Regional Support Office in Hong Kong is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2011.
The Bombardier Business Aircraft Market Forecast, published in July 2010, predicts business aviation industry deliveries of 600 aircraft in China for the 10-year period covering 2010-2019.
The Challenger 300 offers space for eight passengers, and can fly Shenzhen-Singapore non-stop with a full payload.
