2014 in Kochi.
The event witnessed participation from over sixty buyers from across the country. Held annually, the event aimed at offering exciting concepts of selling the destination thus encouraging not only existing but new potential operators to include Canada in their programming. A delegation from Canada comprising over 30 Canadian sellers updated the travel agents and the media on various new experiences that Canada has introduced to the Indian market.
Speaking about the event, SanJeet, Representative for CTC in India said, “Our endeavour is to bridge the gap between our Canadian sellers and Indian buyers through relationship building exercises that are aimed at educating and increasing the awareness levels about Canadian tourism products in our key market areas. Through this year’s edition of Focus Canada – India, we will extend our reach to a larger number of travellers and enhance our business through our travel partners in the region.”
The CTC India team also shared their insights into CTC’s 2014 plan for engaging the Indian outbound tourist market. Since 2008, Canada has been the sixth most visited destination for long-haul Indian travellers.
