Luxury tour operator Carrier has reported one of its best booking weeks, with sales returning to levels seen in 2007.
The company said travel agents have been crucial in its growth with trade sales up 40% compared to previous years.
Bookings are nearly double for holidays to the Indian Ocean and Africa, while its ski and snow programme has seen a last minute boost.
“We are delighted to report the best early season booking performance Carrier has achieved in over five years and would like to thank our travel agent partners for helping us reach record sales last week. After only six months since its inception, our new reservations system is certainly proving its worth by giving us the ability to speed up turnaround times and produce quotes much more efficiently than before,” said Carrier’s managing director Steve Kimber.
