Cebu Pacific (CEB) has forecast that it will handle 9 million passengers in 2009, as the Philippine low-cost carrier’s expansion plans enter full swing. According to a Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) report, the carrier reported a 23% increase in passenger traffic in 2008, handling 6.7 million passengers, and making it the fastest growing airline in Asia. According to the carrier, it is presently the third largest low-cost carrier in Asia and the 22nd largest in the world.
To cater for its rapid network expansion, CEB has also said that will be hiring new staff. CAPA reported that the carrier is seeking 250 new female flight attendants.
Vice President for Marketing & Distribution, Candice Iyog, was quoted saying; “Our continued domestic and international expansion and rapidly growing passenger base require us to hire and train more cabin attendants. They have to exemplify Cebu Pacific’s fun, reliable, and high-quality service.”
Applicants must be fluent in English and Filipino and willing to be based in Manila, Davao, Clark or Cebu.
