Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) will launch flights to another new domestic destination this month.
Commencing on 30 June 2014, the Philippine low-cost carrier will operate a new route connecting Cebu City with Tandag, the capital city of Surigao del Sur province. Tandag will be the airline’s 34th domestic destination.
“We’re very proud to be soon launching Cebu-Tandag flights,” said CEB’s vice president of marketing & distribution, Candice Iyog. “We hope that with direct air services to Tandag and our trademark lowest fares, we can further stimulate travel and trade to Surigao del Sur, for the benefit of the local economy.”
The new flights take just over an hour, using CEB’s 72-seat ATR aircraft. Services depart Cebu every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1110, arriving in Tandag at 1215. The return flight then takes off at 1235, getting back into Cebu at 1340.
The province of Surigao del Sur, which stretches along the northeast coast in Mindanao Island, is home to several tourist spots including the Britania Islands, Cagwait Beach, Tinuy-an Falls and the surfing spot of Lanuza.
