China restores Henan’s Baima Temple

Authorities in central China’s Henan province have launched a major renovation project of the Baima Temple in Luoyang. The ancient site was the first Buddhist temple to be established during the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220AD) after Buddhism spread to China. Luoyang was the dynasty’s capital city until it has replaced by Xuchang in 196AD.
