Having graduated with a 2:1 in Tourism Management and with a specialism in digital marketing and social media communications, Daniel has joined the Condor marketing team as his first role since leaving university.

Commenting on his new appointment, Daniel said: “I’m very lucky to have found such an appropriate role in travel marketing as my first job. My colleagues at Condor have been very welcoming and I’ve already learnt so much by being part of such an engaging and supportive team.”

Daniel’s role will see him assist with developing marketing and advertising campaigns, content planning for Condor’s blog and onboard magazine, Good Times, and organise familiarisation trips for key media to visit and review the destinations to which Condor sails, including the Channel Islands and France.

In addition, Daniel will be responsible for engaging with promotional partners to improve the awareness of Condor’s day trip product from Poole to Guernsey. He will also be discussing ways in which Condor can support local organisations, sports groups and charities, as well as setting-up effective promotions.

Justin Amey, head of Marketing at Condor Ferries, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Daniel to the marketing team at Condor. His degree at Bournemouth University in Tourism Management and his year-long work placement with a South African Safari Tour Operator have given him a good understanding of marketing, advertising and communications in the tourism sector.

“We are pleased to have been able to recruit a local graduate, support Bournemouth University’s alumni and provide Daniel with his first permanent role. We’re looking forward to supporting him in his career as he puts what he’s learnt into practice.”
