Brits who suffer from travellers’ diarrhoea (TD) on holiday would avoid booking again with the tour operator they were with at the time, according to a new survey. The study, which included 3,000 participants and was conducted by Bimuno TRAVELAID, found that 56% of Brits would be deterred from using the holiday company again and 9% would immediately blame the holiday company they travelled with for falling ill. Around a fifth said they would blame the hotel or accommodation itself. Six in 10 adults claimed to have been ill on holiday with TD was the most common illness (43%). Despite some passing the blame onto holiday companies, a third of those surveyed said they would not visit certain countries altogether for fear of being ill. Destinations cited included Africa, India, Pakistan and Egypt.
