Elegant Hotels Group, Barbados, has announced plans for a multi-million dollar development on its hotels.New programmes and property renovations across all five of the company’s hotels will be launched in November.Tamarind Cove Hotel will experience the most change after its close on 1 July and will be re-named Tamarind when it reopens. Guestrooms are to be fully renovated and modernised as well as a new spa, two redesigned restaurants including the Tangiers Restaurant, which will feature a deck overlooking the ocean.Rooms across the group will be upgraded to include new furniture, LCD televisions, mp3 stations and laptop compatible safes. All the hotels under the group will offer a new kids club, including a separate ‘teen dens’ with televisions and games consoles inside. An Aqua School is to be opened, with the Colony Club as the forerunner, which has launched paddle surfing lessons.Work on the Crystal Cove and Turtle Beach resorts are expected to be completed at the end of the year. New packages and programmes are available across the collection.
