The system makes life much easier for agents by allowing them to compare air carrier tariff data as well as seat availability via a single request.
It’s initially launching to Galileo-connected agencies in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and the firm said it would be extended into the rest of its Asia-Pacific markets in late Jun 2007.
The new functionality can handle complex itineraries with up to eight flight segments able to be booked simultaneously.
According to Galileo product director Graham Anderson it’s expected to result in faster searches and reduced administration times for agents.
“With a quick Focalpoint entry agents can now perform complex and tailored searches with a range of different criteria to
support their traveller’s preferences,” he said.
