Tourism Australia’s (TA’s) former Distribution Manager for the Gulf, Andrew Oldfield, has set up his own tourism marketing agency for the GCC.
The Oldfield Management Group, which will be known as OMG!, will focus on marketing, representation, sales and PR for travel and tourism firms wishing to penetrate the Gulf region.
“If you looking for a representation company for your product or company, OMG! can provide a fresh start for your brand by getting it in front of the people you need to know in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and the Middle East,” Oldfield explained.
Oldfield was forced to leave TA last year when the tourism board closed down its Dubai-based Middle East office to cut costs - a move that deplored the trade.
Since then, Oldfield has been marketing Tourism Queensland and the assets of the Australian state on a contract basis.
Oldfield boasts more than 20 years experience in the tourism industry.
He has extensive first-hand knowledge of Middle Eastern markets, trends, business practices and cultures and said OMG would offer a “tailor-made integrated and results-focused representation service”.
