The Fullerton Bay Hotel in Singapore has launched a new restaurant, The Clifford Pier.
The all-day restaurant is located at Clifford Pier, which was built in 1933 and served as the landing point for many arrivals to Singapore. This 81-year-old colonial-style pier has now been redesigned and developed into a 2,400m² space that retains the building’s original arches and high ceilings.
The new 208-seat restaurant will offer modern Asian cuisine with menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea and supper.
Signature dishes will include ‘Rickshaw Noodles’, a modern take on classic noodle soup, plus modern interpretations on classic Asian laksa, redang and kong bak bao, along with a kimchi fried rice.
“We are excited to breathe new life into Clifford Pier, which has played a significant role in Singapore’s history and currently shapes guests’ first encounter with The Fullerton Bay Hotel,” said Giovanni Viterale, general manager of The Fullerton Heritage.
“While we seek to create a new destination restaurant to enhance The Fullerton Bay Hotel experience, the restaurant also pays tribute to the culture and history that was once characteristic of the pier.”
The Clifford Pier is the fourth restaurant at the Fullerton Bay Hotel.
