GCAA hosts AASE Committee meeting

The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) hosted the 17th meeting of the Security Experts Committee in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting included a series of discussions on civil aviation related topics that serve information exchange, threats and risk evaluation and cargo security efforts in the Arab region, affecting countries’ ability to improve civil aviation security levels. The meeting was attended by representatives from Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Palestine, Mauritania, Lebanon, Sudan and the UAE.
HE Saif Mohammad Al Suwaidi, Director General of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of the Executive Council at the Arab Civil Aviation Commission, said: “The committee seeks to implement decisions that protect civil aviation against illegitimate activities, while continuously developing and updating data and information that help Arab countries prepare their national aviation security programs, and help train Arab professionals in the field.”
