Germany will provide an additional US$135,000 in funding for cultural heritage preservation projects in Vietnam, according to the Vietnam National Administration for Tourism (VNAT), citing the country’s Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism. The funding will be used to implement the fourth phase of a project to restore the Tran Dang communal house in Hanoi, and the restoration of Truong Linh Tu, a temple in Hue. The two projects will carried out between 2011 and 2012. Germany has so far provided total funding of US$1.65 million for cultural preservation in Vietnam.
