Gill’s Cruise Centre launches new phone applications

One of the UK’s leading independent cruise retailers, Gill’s Cruise Centre, has recently unveiled the first of a series of innovative, stand-alone Apple iPhone and iPod Touch applications designed to strengthen their brand and expand their existing customer base.The Gill’s Cruise Centre ‘Celebrity Cruises App’ - which can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store - offers users comprehensive deck plans, as well as a short company history and booking information with customers able to get an overview of their ship before they board. What’s more, once downloaded, all the information can be accessed offline - perfect for use on the Seven Seas when network access might be sporadic. The App will also be automatically updated in the coming weeks and months with the latest news, full cruise itineraries and new plans as ships come online. Users will be alerted to any additional content, which can be downloaded for free.Gill’s Cruise Centre was the top independent cruise specialist for Celebrity Cruises in the UK last year, and has a very strong relationship with the line. Together they developed the Celebrity Cruises App, which will feature deck plans for every ship in the Celebrity Cruises’ fleet offering passengers a handy navigation tool to find their way around. The App even already includes plans for the brand new Celebrity Eclipse, which will be berthed in Southampton giving users a sneak-peek of the outstanding on-board experience.
