The Global Travel Group has revealed 31 new members have joined the consortium this year.
With 20 homeworkers and 11 high street agents joining the group, the new additions lend weight to The Global Travel Group’s aggressive growth targets, with a membership roll currently sitting at more than 362 agents across the UK.
The Global Travel Group’s managing director, Andy Stark commented: “Over the past 18 months we have worked hard at improving our technology, training and marketing proposition and we are pleased to see the benefits that this is providing to those in the travel industry.
“With more potential members in the pipeline it’s great to see both existing agents and those new to travel looking to us to support their business success.”
New member agent David Shearer, from Nantwich Travel added: “The support from the Global membership team has been great. The consortium’s marketing offering, selling tools and competitive supplier partnerships are already making a huge difference to our success.”
The rise in membership follows the creation of The Global Travel Group’s Global Advisory Panel (GAP) in March 2015. The senior team committed to meeting with the GAP on a quarterly basis to discuss all aspects of its membership offering. Developments so far include increased social media training and the opportunity for agents to send in feedback for supplier meetings, as well as being the first to trial the latest technology.
The Global Travel Group will, for the first time, hold its 2016 annual conference in Dubai with details of dates and venues to be announced shortly.
