Go Vacation has entered into a joint venture with Buffalo Tours to create a new DMC in Vietnam.
The new company, to be named Go Vacation Vietnam, is expected to be launched next month and will be ready to welcome its first guests by 1 November 2016. The new venture was announced this week at the ITB Berlin trade show.
Vietnam will become Go Vacation’s fourth Asian operating unit, following Go Vacation Thailand, Go Vacation Indonesia and Go Vacation Sri Lanka. The company currently has a network of 12 regional offices across its three existing destinations, and this will expand to 15 with the opening of Go Vacation Vietnam’s new offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Phan Thiet.
Go Vacation Vietnam says it plans to provide “a comprehensive range of tour itineraries covering the whole country”.
Buffalo Tours, which forms part of the Thien Minh Group, is one of the largest DMCs in Vietnam.
“Together, Go Vacation and Buffalo Tours will, through their new partnership, create a wealth of opportunities to expand the potential of this booming Southeast Asian region, for the benefit of worldwide tour operator clients and their guests,” the two companies said in a statement.
