Hanoi planning to revamp Ta Hien Street, in the city’s Old Quarter. The VND15 billion (US$719,000) project will restore the 52m-long street, which features several buildings dating back approximately 100 years, designed in French colonial and traditional Vietnamese architectural styles. The project will restore building facades as well as public infrastructure on the street. Residents on this street will even get new furniture. If the project is successful it may be replicated on other streets.
