A traditional red-sailed Chinese junk, aqua luna, will launch 30-minute sailings around the Stanley area of Hong Kong on the weekend of 4 June.
The Stanley junk trips are part of aqua luna’s day cruises, which also include Monday sailings to Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter, Wednesday trips to outlying Cheung Chau Island and Thursday Joss House Bay sailings to the isolated ‘Temple on the Sea’.
The junk will also operate sailings during the International Dragon Boat Races in Stanley on 6 June. The sailings offer ringside seats to the dragon boat racing and free shuttle boats to the beach for views at the finishing line. Buffet lucnhes are also provided.
The 28-metre traditional red mast junk offers its guests 139 square metres of indoor and outdoor space split over two wooden decks. aqua luna is part of the aqua restaurant group.
Weekend cruises around the popular tourist village will embark at 2pm and 2.45pm every Saturday and Sunday afternoon, priced at HK$80 (US$10.30) for adults and HK$40 for children. Tickets can be purchased on boarding at Stanley Pier or online at www.aqualuna.com.hk.
