IHG has confirmed the four-star Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre will open in April.
Located in Manchester’s vibrant Piccadilly area, the 298-room hotel will feature Holiday Inn’s signature Open Lobby concept, high specification accommodation and cutting-edge meeting facilities. The hotel will incorporate the latest trends in hotel design and technology, including free hi-speed Wi-Fi.
Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre will reflect the city’s heritage by honouring local sporting and music icons. The hotel’s suites will be named after Manchester United and City footballing heroes George Best and Colin Bell, while the function rooms will be named after local music icons including Factory Records’ nightclub impresario and owner Tony Wilson, Stone Roses guitarist John Squires, pop music icon, Morrissey, the Gallagher brothers and Ian Curtis from Joy Division.
A key focal point for the hotel will be Holiday Inn’s signature Open Lobby concept. The area will combine reception, restaurant, lounge, business centre and Starbucks coffee shop.
From Standard and Executive rooms to top-of-the range suites, all of the hotel’s 298 guest rooms will be highly specified – featuring modern décor, air conditioning and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. Additionally all rooms will be equipped with refreshing power showers, DVD/CD players and 40 inch LCD Smart HD televisions with cable channels.
Rooms at the hotel start from £99, while kids will be able to stay and eat for free.
24-hour dining facilities will offer hotel guests the option to eat “what they like, when they like, where they like”. Starbucks Café will offer coffee served in a more informal environment.
The hotel’s 12 meeting rooms are complemented by a terraced area and spacious breakout space as well as state-of-the-art technology including a Bose sound system, Barco ClickShare wireless presentation and super hi-speed Wi-Fi, HDMI/VGA functionality and integrated user friendly touch panels.
Other hotel facilities include a state of the art gym, full service business centre and terrace area.
Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre general manager David Daly commented: “We’re really excited to be opening Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre in the heart of a city going through a time of significant regeneration and increasing stature within Europe.
