Thomson Al Fresco, the luxury mobile home holiday operator, is to have a new parent company, Homair Vacances, replacing TUI Travel PLC. Under the Homair Vacances ownership, Thomson Al Fresco will become one of Europe’s largest groups of mobile home holiday operators, offering nearly 8000 mobile homes and supported by a 20 year history. Thomson Al Fresco will continue to operate from its existing base in Bury and hold its trademark rights operating under the Thomson Al Fresco brand name as a stand alone business. All 27 staff will be retained under the new owners. “Homair Vacances is the perfect new parent company as it will extend our reach into new parcs and as a dedicated mobile home holiday operator, it will offer an additional level of expertise,” said Nick Riggs, managing director for Thomson Al Fresco. “This acquisition will provide fantastic opportunities for Thomson Al Fresco to grow while maintaining high quality accommodation, great parcs and customer service as the focus of the brand.”Homair Vacances currently operates homes on 102 parcs throughout Europe, France, Italy, Spain, Croatia and Portugal with a total of 6500 homes.
