Indian arrivals to the US set to double

The number of Indian visitors to the US is expected to double over the next four years, reaching 1.2 million by 2016. This compares to 650,000 Indian arrivals the US in 2010, according to US Travel Association data. The average age of an Indian tourist to the US is 42 years. Looking at the Asian market, India ranks fourth in terms of the total number of people visiting the US after Japan, Korea and China, reports the Business Standard. However its position in the US tourism source ranking will rise from 12 to 9 if 2016 projections are met.
