In a unique, laudable effort, Indonesia and Malaysia have mounted a ‘UNESCO 123’ programme for tourism promotion, Anil Mathur reports. Victor Wee, Chairman of Tourism Malaysia, told the 5th UNWTO-PATA Destination Management meet in Hangzhou that three world heritage sites in the two countries – Borobudur in Indonesia and Malacca and Penang in Malaysia - would be promoted under the same banner.
