Intrepid Travel has announced a new range of tours for independent travellers.
Starting from January 2015 the Melbourne-based company will offer it 25 most popular group tours for one or two people, in a product known as Independent Journeys. One of the company’s local guides will accompany the travellers with destinations including Turkey, Morocco, India and Vietnam.
Its Independent Experiences tours will also commence in January with two to five-day city packages designed to be linked up to create one bespoke itinerary.
The individual tours have been launched to appeal to those who would not consider group travel.
“We often speak to travellers who love the idea of the off-the-beaten track, responsible, local experiences that Intrepid Travel offers – but just can’t handle the idea of travelling on a group trip. They may have been scared off group travel by a big bus party-style group tour in their 20s, or they may just want to travel with a partner or friend,” explained James Thornton, managing director for the Intrepid Group. “The new range of independent trips means travellers can save money by booking set itineraries, have the assurance of booking through the world’s leading small group adventure travel company – but still get a truly local experience from our own network of local operators”.
Intrepid is celebrating 25 years in operation this year.
