A predicted shortfall in demand may threaten the proposed metro project in Jaipur, The Times of India has reported. The estimated for passenger load on the Mansarovar to Jaipur Railway Station line, scheduled to open in 2013, is 11,000 – considerably lower than the minimum 14,000 required. The project report is expected to be submitted in next few days, with plans for the construction of an elevated corridor expected to be finalised by May 2010.
