Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced cuts to its services between Tokyo Haneda airport and both Sapporo and Okinawa. Flight frequency on the Haneda-Sapporo route will be reduced from 18 to 16 daily return flights between 27 and 31 March 2011. On the same dates, one daily flight will be removed from the carrier’s Haneda-Okinawa services, leaving a total of 12 daily flights. The removal of these services will enable JAL to mount extra flights to the earthquake- and tsunami-hit regions in the northeast of Honshu Island.
