A new breed of buses has hit the streets of Indonesia, the Jakarta Post has reported. The ‘Komodo’ buses, named after the remote island and its reptilian inhabitants, are predominantly locally made, costing an estimated IDR3 billion (US$322,000) less that imported buses, and benefitting the local community.
The buses will be adorned with images of the famous Komodo dragon.
