Landslide blocks major Chinese highway

A landslide in southwest China’s Sichuan province blocked a major highway yesterday, stranding four people. Xinhua reported that heavy rains triggered the landslide, which hit a section of the 5,476km National Highway 318 connecting Shanghai with the Nepalese border. More than 20 cars were hit by the landslide, but no casualties had been reported.
