Loganair adds Orkney Island flights

Flybe franchise carrier Loganair has introduced two additional weekly flights to its Orkney Islands service. At just two minutes and over a mile, it is the world’s shortest flight and runs between Westray and Papa Westray airports. Extra flights have been provided now that sightsee trips can be pre-booked on the island. “Historically, it’s not been possible to book in advance for sightseer trips to ensure that local travellers, for whom the service is primarily designed, can have access to seats.” Explained Loganair Commercial Director. “However, throughout this summer we will be operating extra flights specifically for people who want to travel on the world’s shortest flight. This unique service is an attraction in its own right”. Advanced sightseer reservations will be available on selected flights between 17 June and 26 August from Kirkwall.
