London’s hotels have been given the lowest score in an online survey of properties across Europe. The capital came out bottom of the main European cities in the Trivago survey, which looked at the online reputation of hotels including their quality and price. London had a collective score of 72.2 and Birmingham had a rating of 74.15, while Dresden came out top with a score of 82.32. Krakow, Bruges, Venice and Bologna also featured in the top five. Of 1,000 cities evaluated, the only cities that had lower scores than London were Sliema in Malta and Spanish towns Lloret del Mar and El Arenal. Paris, Amsterdam and Copenhagen’s hotels were also given a lower rating. In the UK, Belfast, Canterbury and Cardiff’s hotels were rated the best for hotel online reputation.
